Rockefeller Brothers Fund

A Two to One Challenge from the Rockefeller Brothers Fund to you…

The Rockefeller Brothers Fund has long been a supporter of NPQ, even when our prospects seemed a bit thin on the ground. We believe that the alignment between us is in a shared deep belief in democracy and civil society in all of its messiness, contentiousness and diversity.

“The Nonprofit Quarterly is a critical resource for professionals across the nonprofit sector, providing the latest coverage on news that impacts the sector as well as investigative pieces that get to the heart of the issues we are addressing in our work. Support from readers speaks to its value and enables NPQ is be more independent, giving its journalists the flexibility needed to report objectively on the challenges and opportunities for civil society.”

THE ROCKEFELLER BROTHERS FUND WILL GIVE NPQ $25,000 NOW… BUT IF IT IS MATCHED BY READERS BY THE END OF THE YEAR NPQ WILL GET AN ADDITIONAL $25,000.

In other words, if we can make this $25,000 match, the RBF will donate $2 for every dollar you give us. If we cannot, we lose that second $25,000 completely.

We won’t lie – it is a stretch. But we cannot afford to leave this money on the table so, to start us out, our own board has pledged a combined $5,200 so we only have $19,800 left to go.

NPQ will publish the names of all donors to the RBF challenge as we progress and keep you all updated with a thermometer through the end of the year.

Unique benefit to our donors

Give a tax deductible donation to NPQ by 1/1/2015 and:

If you give more than $100 you will receive THREE FULL YEARS of the Nonprofit Quarterly Journal on a searchable CD. ($179 value) (see description below)

If you give more than $250 you will receive the searchable CD plus a full year’s subscription to the Nonprofit Quarterly Journal in print. ($228 value)

Again, this is made possible by a generous match from the Rockefeller Brothers Fund.
