I swear I do not watch the show . . . but the 2011 season of Celebrity Apprentice has announced its roster of participants and their chosen charities, so we thought we’d pass it along. Were you lucky enough to be paired with one of the contestants? Of course if your apprentice ends up really embarrassing him or herself it could reflect badly . . . but let’s keep a good thought. I don’t know whether to root for Gary Busey, Dionne Warwick or Cyndi Lauper . . . or NeNe Leakes. I’ll say no more.

  • Hope Dworaczyk: Best Buddies
  • Jose Canseco: Baseball Assistance Team (B.A.T.)
  • John Rich: St. Jude Children's Research Hospital
  • Lil Jon: The United Methodist Children's Home of North Georgia Conference
  • Gary Busey: The Center For Head Injury Services
  • Mark McGrath: Save The Music Foundation
  • Meat Loaf: The Painted Turtle
  • Marlee Matlin: The Starkey Hearing Foundation
  • Lisa Rinna: Entertainment Industry Foundation's Women's Cancer Research Fund
  • La Toya Jackson: AIDS Project L.A.
  • NeNe Leakes: Atlanta Union Mission in Support of My Sister's House for Women Against Domestic Abuse
  • Niki Taylor: The American Red Cross
  • Dionne Warwick: The Hunger Project
  • David Cassidy: The Alzheimer's Research and Prevention Foundation

Who are you getting behind? Of course I'm only asking out of intellectual curiosity. Of course. I never watch the stuff.—Ruth McCambridge
