September 18, 2011; Source: Syracuse Post-Standard | The High Peaks Resort in Lake Placid, New York is offering its facilities free of charge to the two lucky nonprofits that win its “Spring for Hope” contest, the Syracuse Post-Standard reports. Included in this unique donation are two nights of accommodations in up to 133 rooms, plus meeting space and 50 percent off the cost of catering.

The contest is open to any nonprofit doing fundraising for itself but the facility does not need to be used for a fundraising event. Groups can apply online here. We hope other resorts take a page from this book! What a great resource.—Ruth McCambridge
