Iris M. Crawford has reported on solutions for a Just Transition, decarbonization debates, environmental science generally, and the intersections among race, culture, and climate injustice. Her work has appeared in the San Francisco Chronicle, Sojourners Magazine, AGU’s Eos, and Prism, among other publications. She holds a master’s in science writing from MIT, and is an alumna of Oakland Voices, a program of the Maynard Institute for Journalism Education. Crawford is a 2021–22 Council for the Advancement of Science Writing Taylor/Blakeslee Fellow and a proud steering committee member of The Uproot Project—a support network of environmental journalists of color.
