One of the things that annoys me the most about this nonprofit sector (which I am a part of) is the degree to which many people who call themselves “thought leaders” pander to the latest brainstorms, fads and fashions of philanthropy. (No offense—I am sure I am not talking about you.)

It shuts down criticism and real intellectual development in a way that is just plain embarrassing, and it makes calling out the odd naked emperor ever more difficult.

Bill Schambra, as you may know, loves bringing the sunlight to all of that sometimes-unsightly nakedness, and he did so again yesterday in “Software Eats the Nonprofit Sector.”

The article is not to be missed, but we would also love your thoughts and comments. It is only in that way that we can begin to have our ethics keep pace with technological advances, and that is our responsibility.

And, please, make sure you circulate this—tweet it, pin it on Pinterest…whatever!
