Grads

On Thursday, May 30th, the Harvard Business School graduated 900 MBAs. Nineteen of them were members of the HBS Leadership Fellows Program, and so are slated to go to those nonprofit or public sector organizations where the program has placed them. Over the last thirteen years, only 106 students have been placed with a total of 47 organizations, so this is the biggest year yet for the program. Participating organizations pay the student $45,000, and Harvard pays a $50,000 supplement on top of that.

Ninety percent of the fellows receive an offer of permanent employment at the participating organization after the first year is up, and two-thirds of the graduates remain in the nonprofit or public sector.—Ruth McCambridge
