Elena Perez has been an activist since age 7, when she joined a student picket to protest the firing of her 2nd grade teacher. With that start, it's no surprise she now works in the labor movement, as the Web Communications Coordinator for SEIU-UHW (United Healthcare Workers West). Elena is a veteran of MoveOn.org and the California National Organization for Women, and has presented on best practices online at Netroots Nation and for Social Movement Technologies.
