Gabriela Garcia is Project Coordinator at BASTA (Building and Strengthening Tenant Action) based in Austin, Texas. Over the past 20 years she has worked in the nonprofit sector as an organizer, paralegal and advocate for employment, immigration, and housing justice. She was born and raised in El Paso, Texas where she helped open the Paso del Norte Civil Rights Project.
