M. Gabriela Alcalde, MPH, DRPH,is the executive director of the Elmina B. Sewall Foundation. She has 25 years’ experience as a leader, grantmaker, and scholar working at the intersections of public health, community organizing, advocacy, racial equity, and systems change. A nationally recognized leader in public health and philanthropy, Alcalde has published and presented widely on topics related to racial equity, health disparities, women’s and reproductive health, and intimate partner violence, as well as equity in philanthropy.
