Samuel Barr, a tribal citizen of the Samish Indian Nation, serves as codirector of the Coast Salish Youth Stewardship Corps with The Madrona Institute. Barr was the Tribal Canoe Skipper for the Samish Indian Nation Canoe Family & Stillaguamish Canoe family, and has been a geographic information system (GIS) analyst/natural resources technician for the Samish Indian Nation Department of Natural Resources. He has a BA in environmental science and resource management from the University of Washington, and is additionally employed by the Stillaguamish Indian Tribe as a tribal historic preservation office supervisor.
