Sonia Lowman is the award-winning writer and director of the documentaries BLACK BOYS (2020), illuminating the humanity of Black men and boys in America; TEACH US ALL (2017), on school segregation in the United States; WAR & GRACE (2020), about the maternal health crisis in war-torn South Sudan; and INDOMITABLE (2024), highlighting the mental health crisis emerging in Ukraine in the wake of the Russian invasion. Lowman serves as the principal filmmaker for the International Medical Corps, which works on the frontlines in over 30 countries affected by war and disaster.
