Thomasina “Tomi” Hiers is the vice president of the Casey Foundation’s Center for Civic Sites and Community Change. The center advances community development strategies to improve the lives of children and families in Baltimore, where Casey is based; in Atlanta, where the Foundation also has an office; and in other cities across the country.
