Tom Stites is an award-winning journalist who has been a ranking editor for major newspapers, including The New York Times, and the editor and publisher of for-profit and nonprofit magazines. Now he has turned his attention to achieving the potential of community news cooperatives as founder and president of the Banyan Project. He is also a consulting editor for the nonprofit International Consortium of Investigative Journalists.
