Vicki was the fundraising coordinator for Save Our Cumberland Mountains (SOCM, Jacksboro, TN) for 14 years.  She was a Sister of Loretto and her background was education.  She had been a teacher and a principal and those skills served her well.  She died of a heart attack in Bolivia where she was helping women set up a clothing co-op.  She was a trainer with the Southern Empowerment Project and helped to conceptualize what became  GIFT.  She was the author of “You Can Do It” , a book for people with low literacy skills about how to raise money.
