Dera Udochukwu, aka Udochukwu Chidera, is an award–winning writer from Imo State, Nigeria. Udochukwu writes about the human experience—especially, what it means to be African, championing African experiences and exploring African peoples’ beauty, flaws, and resilience. She has earned many literary accolades, and her work can be found in Shuzia, Tabono, TUSH Magazine, Writers Space Africa magazine, and the 2022 Chinua Achebe Poetry and Essay Anthology, among other publications.
