

Iris M. Crawford is the Climate Justice Editor at NPQ. Iris has reported on solutions around the just transition, environmental science, decarbonization debates, and the intersections between race, culture, and climate inequity. Her work has appeared in the San Francisco Chronicle, Sojourners Magazine, AGU’s Eos, and Prism, among other publications. Iris holds a master's in science writing from MIT and is an alumna of Oakland Voices, a program of the Maynard Institute of Journalism Education. She is a 2021-22 CASW Taylor/Blakeslee Fellow and a proud steering committee member of The Uproot Project —a support network of environmental journalists of color.
