Jason spent his childhood in Southwest Atlanta, where a village of family and community members instilled his core values of Sankofa and harmony. He lives these values through a career in education, where he has served as a teacher, ed-entrepreneur, and education investor. Jason’s students’ stories pushed him to co-found Profound Gentlemen, a national human-capital strategy to recruit and retain Black male teachers. He has been recognized by Forbes 30 Under 30 for such work and has received numerous fellowship opportunities. Jason is currently a certified philanthropic advisor and works at a national foundation, where he leverages his expertise in nonprofit management, philanthropy, and social entrepreneurship to invest in programs and leaders who are working to ensure students and families have a path toward a self-determined life. He is also a hip-hop and martial arts head and spends his free time listening to music and learning new art forms.
