Katherine Pace works as NPQ's copyeditor. She has over a decade of experience providing developmental and copyediting services to scholars based at universities throughout the US. A published environmental historian and occasional NPQ contributor, her own work focuses on the historic interplay between water and race in Austin, Texas, and on climate justice. She has been involved in numerous racial-justice, feminist, and animal-welfare projects over the years and has a background in permaculture.
