

Kururama is a Program Officer at a nonprofit foundation in Michigan. In her current work, she is involved in place-based grantmaking, impact investing and the public policy and advocacy work of the foundation. She remains a passionate advocate for embedding racial justice practices within these spaces and working alongside communities of color at the grassroots to inform foundation strategies. Prior to joining the philanthropic sector, Kururama worked in higher education, city government and with an immigrant rights organization in Michigan. A native of Zimbabwe and Michigan. She is a graduate of a master’s program in Public Policy at the University of Michigan and a graduate of Western Michigan University.
