Charlie Sheen (perhaps most well known for his roles in The Mighty Ducks, and before that, Repo Man—Oh wait that isn’t Sheen) has been charged with felony second-degree assault, felony menacing and criminal mischief, and for assaulting his wife Brooke Mueller.
You may be wondering why NPQ is trafficking in such low-slung celebrity gossip. It’s not only that we are huge fans of The Mighty Ducks, it’s also because of Sheen’s peculiar punishment for his crime.

As part of Sheen’s plea agreement for his domestic violence charge, he may be doing time at Theatre Aspen in Colorado. The nonprofit regional theater wants to put Sheen to work during the day, teaching acting classes, fundraising, and perhaps even doing some acting.
I’m happy for Theatre Aspen in Colorado for the time they get to spend with Sheen, though perhaps this may be more of a suitable punishment for his digression.—Aaron Lester
