Cassandra Heliczer:I continue to be very very impressed with ‘How to be an Anti-Racist Supervisor,’ and the reason that one has stayed with me so much, is that I think work justice is going to be a very very big thing. I was very surprised by what Kim-Monique Johnson, what she actually said in that article. I never had that understanding that the way we talk about work now goes back to factory, which is rooted in slavery language. And that just blew my mind. And I think it’s a very important article.

Cassandra joined NPQ in spring 2011. She comes with over twenty years experience in publishing, most recently as alternative language arts editor at Pearson Education, Boston, and publications editor at The Museum of Modern Art, New York. Cassandra’s studies centered on music, philosophy, and literature, with a focus on women's studies, postcolonial studies, and Spanish and French literature outside of Spain and France.
