March 25, 2010; Turnto10.com | In a heart warming move that should inspire us all to think beyond the walls of our own institutions, the New England Laborers’/Cranston Public Schools Construction Career Academy, a charter school, elected to donate $88,000 to two local public schools to prevent cuts to their sports programs. The school committee had planned to eliminate a number of sports activities for budgetary reasons. This will save most of them. A community pulls together to protect and nurture its children.
