July 26, 2010; Source: New York Times | This article by Stephanie Strom sums up a number of stories about lawmakers who are becoming concerned regarding the size of some nonprofit CEO salaries in the context of constrained state and federal budgets. There is little new in this story but it is worth noting simply because it appeared in the New York Times and stories in the New York Times and the Washington Post and a few other papers get noticed by policy makers.—Ruth McCambridge
