Analilia Mejia is coexecutive director at the Center for Popular Democracy, the largest network of base-building organizations in the country. A seasoned political strategist and grassroots organizer, she served as the deputy director of the Women’s Bureau at the US Department of Labor under President Joe Biden, where she arduously worked to center those at the margins. At the Center for Popular Democracy, she applies all the lessons learned through her time in government, organized labor, electoral campaigns, and advocacy in order to build a true multiracial and participatory democracy.
