Brea Baker is a writer and activist whose first book, Rooted: The American Legacy of Land Theft and the Modern Movement for Black Land Ownership, was published with PRH/One World Books. With a BA in Political Science from Yale University, Brea regularly contributes reported op-eds and personal essays to ELLE, Refinery 29, and Unbothered, with other bylines in Harper’s BAZAAR, Oprah Daily, them, Coveteur, The Progressive, Mission Magazine, and more.
