Carina Wong serves as the Deputy Director for Education at the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation. She leads the College Ready Work portfolio focused on creating the conditions for student success by investing in teachers and improving the work they do with their students. Prior to the Gates Foundation, she was the Executive Director of the Chez Panisse Foundation. She has worked in education for over 20 years on instructional and assessment issues and held leadership positions at the national, state and district levels.
