Cleo Zell grew up attending marches and protests with her family in Houston, TX. Those experiences—from saving a neighborhood pool to fighting for a cure for AIDS—helped shape her belief that we should use our voices together to fight for the common good. Inspired by people all over the world using collective action, especially the Icelandic Women’s Day Off in 1975, Zell joined Strike For Our Rights to help make general strikes a part of the USA culture. She is a Pilates teacher and community activist.
