Darlene Garalde Intlekofer is a doctoral candidate in the Linguistics Department at the CUNY Graduate Center. Her research explores how patterns of language variation in New York City reveal broader questions of identity, belonging, and social change, and she teaches courses on language and writing at Hunter College.
