Deepak Bhargava became president of the Freedom Foundation (formerly the JPB Foundation) in February 2024. Bhargava has over 30 years of experience in social justice movements as a leader, campaigner, and strategist, including 16 years at the helm of Community Change, a group that supports community organizing across the nation.
