Dr. Shauna Knox is the author of The Black Subaltern: An Intimate Witnessing (Routledge, 2022) and Engaging Currere toward Decolonization: Negotiating Black Womanhood through Autobiographical Analysis (Routledge, 2022). She is also senior vice president of the National Black Child Development Institute.
