Jonah Fertig-Burd is director of Cooperative Food Systems at the Cooperative Development Institute. A cofounder of Local Sprouts Cooperative and Maine Farm and Sea Cooperative, Fertig-Burd focuses on working with immigrant and refugee co-ops in the food system, particularly in Lewiston. He is also a Local Economy Fellow of the Business Alliance for Local Living Economies (BALLE).
