Lora Smith is a writer, community builder, and financial activist from Appalachian Kentucky. She currently serves as the director of investment partnerships at Justice Funders, a worker self-directed nonprofit focused on a Just Transition in philanthropy. In her role she collaborates with movement leaders and foundations to redirect philanthropic capital away from the extractive economy toward local, regenerative solidarity economies that build power and self-determination in BIPOC communities.
