Marian Urquilla is an executive coach, consultant, and writer. For almost 30 years, she has helped build opportunities for families of color, working to shift the systems and structures that shape their lives. She coaches senior executives working on racial equity and economic justice issues and serves as a member of the Annie E. Casey Foundation’s Results Count leadership development faculty; she has helped launch large-scale philanthropic initiatives in diverse program areas, including community development, climate resilience, and community health; and with Robin Hacke, she cofounded the Center for Community Investment, where she leads programs designed to support leaders working to improve opportunity so that everyone has a fair chance to lead a healthy and productive life. A Salvadoran immigrant, she and her wife live in California’s East Bay.
