Omar Freilla

Omar Freilla is a Black Dominican Bronx native, cofounder and coordinator of Collective Diaspora, a global cooperative association of Black cooperatives and Black-led cooperative support organizations across the African diaspora. He is also a cooperative development consultant, 2022 Echoing Green Fellow, and founder of Green Worker Cooperatives, where he served as executive director for over 17 years, founding the Co-op Academy, the nation’s first worker cooperative business accelerator.
