Orlando Velázquez Pérez is a Puerto Rican community lawyer and participatory action researcher, currently living in Washington state. Velázquez Pérez’s work has focused on driving public-sector change through grassroots engagement and policy innovation for housing equity, racial equity, language justice, disability justice, community organizing, participatory democracy, equity-based access to education, and popular education (educación popular).
