Sarah Arveson is a postdoctoral researcher in the Center for Integrative Planetary Science at UC Berkeley where she performs experiments on materials at ultrahigh pressures and temperatures to simulate the deep interior of planets. Sarah is Vice President of UAW 5810, the union of postdoctoral scholars and academic researchers at the University of California. She became a labor organizer while in graduate school.
