In honor of National Hispanic Heritage Month—September 15 to October 15—the NPQ team is sharing a collection of stories we’ve published that honor the cultures and celebrate the contributions of Hispanic and Latinx Americans. The 2024 theme for Hispanic Heritage Month is “Pioneers of Change: Shaping the Future Together,” encapsulating the “spirit of innovation, resilience, and unity that define the Hispanic experience.” The articles in this collection amplify this theme, sharing examples of Hispanic and Latinx leadership in local communities; expanded representation in politics, culture, and the economy; and powerful advocacy for a more equitable and just society in which all can thrive.
