In honor of National Native American Heritage Month (November), the NPQ team is sharing a collection of stories we’ve published that celebrate Native voices and power. Today, Native Americans remain at the helm of movements for justice, visibility, and sovereignty. The pieces in this collection—largely written by Native American authors—highlight Native initiatives for land reclamation, radical economics, political agency, and cultural recognition. We celebrate the deep roots of Indigenous worldviews and cultural practices, which continue to lead the way toward economic, political, social, and environmental justice.
