NPQ is expanding its board to strengthen our ability to support the justice-centered nonprofit sector in 2025 and beyond.
NPQ envisions a world in which we live in an active democracy whose values are fully grounded in human rights, economic and social justice, racial equity, and thriving communities. Our mission is to advance conversations and practice in civil society, as manifested in nonprofits, social movements, and philanthropy. We are committed to being an indispensable resource to enable progressive organizations to build healthy, equitable, sustainable, and high-impact workplaces to meet challenges in 2025 and beyond. You can read more about 2025 strategy here.
NPQ’s board is responsible for providing strategic direction, ensuring financial sustainability, and upholding the organization’s values and mission. Our diverse board works closely with NPQ leadership to enable us to increase the knowledge and capacity nonprofit and movement leaders need to advance civil society and a thriving multiracial democracy. As we look ahead to 2025, we are expanding our board’s capacity by 2-5 new members. We’re especially interested in finding board members with lived experience in media, finance, and progressive nonprofit leadership to help guide our next chapter.
NPQ is a nonprofit media platform that reaches over 1.4 million nonprofit and philanthropy leaders, emerging leaders, frontline workers, and movement organizers every year. Our publishing channels include our website, newsletters, equity-centered trainings from nonprofit leaders, print magazine, books, and multimedia products. We are supported by a combination of earned revenue and philanthropic funding.
