December 27, 2010; Source: The Daily Progress | Two Charlottesville, Va. nonprofits – FOCUS, a women’s resource center and HIV/AIDS Services Group – have decided to move in together. Both organizations have experienced budget reductions and as a result their space needs have also, at least temporarily, been reduced. ASG (the neater roommate according to the article), moved into the 6,000-square-foot space occupied by FOCUS. This move is evidently one step to cut costs while re-examining the business models but the executives of the organizations find that it also allows for opportunities to bounce ideas off of one another and collaborate. Apparently, one issue that has popped up to date has been related to the placement of the condoms in the lobby.—Ruth McCambridge
