Aisha Nyandoro

Aisha Nyandoro, Ph.D., is the founding CEO of Springboard to Opportunities, a Jackson, Mississippi–based nonprofit using a radically resident-driven approach to ending generational poverty. She is the architect of the Magnolia Mother’s Trust, the nation’s longest-running guaranteed income program, which has helped reshape national conversations about poverty, agency, trust, and dignity. A TIME100 Next Honoree and Forbes contributor, Aisha is a nationally recognized voice on economic, racial, and gender justice. Her work has been featured in The New York Times, The Washington Post, NPR, Essence, NBC Nightly News, and CNN. She has testified before Congress and spoken on national stages including TEDWomen and Aspen Ideas Fest. Aisha is the host of the forthcoming podcast Bless Your Heart, which challenges the narratives Americans hold about the South and what we miss when those narratives are wrong. When not working to liberate financial capital, she is a wife and mother of two sons.
