Cassie is a Seattle-based ceramic artist who uses her craft to explore the themes of belonging, identity, and power. Her work has appeared in several QTBIPOC group installations in the Greater Seattle area. She is a queer second-generation, mixed-race Asian American, a former middle school science teacher, master composter program manager, and education director. She’s a radical educator and community builder, drawn to spaces where people can unlearn the norms of White-supremacy culture and reimagine liberatory spaces to work, create, and play. When she’s not working with clay, Cassie wears the hat of Senior Consultant at Healing Equity United, supporting nonprofits to lead with clarity, courage, and care in moments of crisis and uncertainty. She has a knack for facilitation, supporting groups in sitting with complexity, holding space for multiple truths, and moving together toward more just and joyful ways of working. She’s a certified coach and founder of Harvest Within Coaching, where she works with individuals and teams to live and act in alignment with their values and truths. She’s a proud board member of City Fruit whose work sits at the intersection of equity, nutrition, and collective care. Cassie spends her free time exploring the Pacific Northwest with her partner and dog, tending to a small flock of backyard chickens, lifting heavy weights, and hosting themed gatherings that nourish her community of friends and chosen family.
