Errin Haines is editor-at-large and founding mother at The 19th. Haines is author of The Amendment newsletter and host of The Amendment podcast. Haines is an award-winning journalist who has spent her career writing the story of who and where we are as a country, always with an eye and ear for who remains unseen and unheard. She has worked at The Los Angeles Times, the Orlando Sentinel, The Washington Post and the Associated Press, where she was national writer on race and ethnicity immediately prior to joining The 19th. Haines is currently the president of the National Association of Black Journalists, and has worked for decades to improve diversity in journalism.
