Gregory P. Perreault is a freelance writer and serves as an associate professor of media literacy and analytics at the University of South Florida in Tampa Bay. Starting in fall 2026, he will be professor and chair for journalism & creative media at the University of Alabama. He’s written for a range of publications, including Nieman Lab, Congressional Quarterly Researcher, USA Today, The Los Angeles Times, The Miami Herald and The Palm Beach Post.
