John Newsome is the founder of Public Equity Group and has been a strategy and management consultant since 2001, including four years (2001–2005) at the Bridgespan Group (as a consultant and management team member). Since founding PEG in 2011, John has worked with organizations across the US and Puerto Rico including PolicyLink, CFLeads, and Open Society Foundations former Puerto Rico project. Prior to consulting, John served as Press Secretary to then-US Congresswoman Barbara Lee and worked in student affairs at Stanford’s Haas Center for Public Service.
