Julian Drix, MPH (he/they) is an inside-outside strategist who builds bridges between grassroots social movements and public health agencies as Health in Partnership’s Bridging Program director. He was introduced to the world of public health through environmental justice fights against toxic fossil fuel industries. For nearly a decade Drix has worked in state government to improve issues around asthma, air quality, and housing, and served in a health equity leadership role during Rhode Island’s COVID-19 pandemic response. Drix is rooted in community and family with their partner, kids, cat, and many plants.
