

Kalia Abiade (she/her) is the Vice President of Programs at Pillars Fund, a national nonprofit that amplifies the leadership, narratives, and talents of Muslims in the US. She draws on two decades of experience advocating for equity and racial justice in media, policy, and philanthropy, and her analysis has been cited in the New York Times, the Washington Post, National Public Radio, and the Associated Press, among other outlets. Kalia serves as an executive officer on the board of Grantmakers Concerned with Immigrants and Refugees and a member of Independent Sector’s public policy committee. She lives with her family in Chicago.
