Keenan Wellar is the co-founder and current Co-Leader and Director of Communications at LiveWorkPlay.ca, a leading-edge charitable organization based in Ottawa, Canada, that has been helping the community welcome and include people with intellectual disabilities and autistic persons to live, work, and play as valued citizens since 1995. Keenan is a certified Ontario educator with an MA in Applied Linguistics from Carleton University, and is a BoardSource Certified Governance Trainer. An early adopter of social media, Keenan is also a frequent commentator on local radio and television, and an outspoken advocate for charitable sector transparency and accountability. Keenan and his wife Julie Kingstone support nonprofit excellence as co-owners of Wellstone Leadership Services. In addition to being a football, tennis, and soccer fan enthusiast, Keenan enjoys photography, kayaking, and hiking when he is not posting to Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn and Instagram.
