Kelly Burton

Kelly Burton is a political scientist, entrepreneur, and executive leader whose work explores the intersection of race, power, and democracy. She is CEO of Black Innovation Alliance, a national organization dedicated to strengthening entrepreneurial ecosystems and helping entrepreneurs build the economy of the future. Her thought leadership has been featured in Fast Company, Forbes, Inc., TechCrunch, Essence, NBC News, and Marketplace. She is the author of the forthcoming book The Price of Union: Race, Power, and the Making of American Democracy and serves on the board of the Center for Action and Contemplation. Burton holds degrees from Clark Atlanta University and Emory University, along with executive education from Harvard University. She lives in Atlanta, Georgia.
