Lauren O’Connor is a sophomore at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, pursuing a degree in global studies and communications with a minor in women and gender studies. Growing up in Seattle, she developed a strong connection to the environment and a curiosity about different cultures, which she expanded upon while studying abroad in Seoul, South Korea, during her first semester. She spends her free time enjoying live music, exploring the outdoors, being with friends and family, and reading by the beach.
